Verne

The company that actually beat everyone to a commercial European robotaxi. Rimac's mobility arm launched paid public service in Zagreb on 8 April 2026 using Pony.ai's stack in a vehicle of its own design, with operators onboard. Verne is now the template for the European route to market: a local operator, a Chinese stack and a national permit.

Europe — 2 cities where Verne appears, coloured by Verne's own stage in each, not the city's. Countries are shaded by the furthest-along robotaxi service Verne has there, because in Europe the permit is national.

Boundaries from Natural Earth (public domain). Status is Verne's own stage in that city: a city can be driverless for a competitor and testing-only here.
